I think I'm coming out of the tunnel, but I'm not sure.

This may seem like an oxymoron, but for me it’s almost like oxycodone.

Spoiler Alert: With four daughters, I’ve seen too many episodes of S&TC, so I know about the LBD.

The first thing you learn in the world of healthcare is that it’s all about the doctors.     WRONG !!!

They say as you get older you tend to forget things.  Not surprisingly, I have another perspective.

Some read. Others watch TV. There's knitting, chatting, snacking and dozing.  For me: It's tunes.

I’ve talked a lot about the quality and integrity of my medical team.

Upon my return to home from Stem Cell Land, I share this observation.

A recent hospital-bedside-photo, of me & the Rosenettes, posted on FB (12/29/17) - garnered an unexpected response.

I generally don’t subject readers to a “journal of my life” but in this case I’m going to make an exception.

They say that no two snowflakes are alike, and similarly with cancer patients – no two human beings with cancer are alike.

As I sit in the Oncologist's/Infusion center waiting room, I look around, and I wonder - Who are these people? 

By its very nature, cancer is unpredictable.  And true to form, many aspects of the treatment are equally enigmatic.

Certain items in life have become symbols for and synonymous with (stigmatized?) the aging process. 

It feels at times like the patient takes on the role of the consoler.

Cancer is sort of like a machine; this evil energy force turned on and turned loose in my body. 

We happen to be blessed with two of the world’s top Oncologists specializing in Multiple Myeloma (MM) – right here in our area (NJ). 

In the midst of all this adjustment, I have managed to discover an untapped indulgence – a throwback from my youth.
