A recent hospital-bedside-photo, of me and the Rosenettes, posted on Facebook (12/29/17) - garnered an unexpected response.
I was truly humbled by the overwhelming outpouring of support and well-wishes from family, friends and acquaintances; far and wide; young and old; recent and past – all with touching messages of strength and success.
A new year tends to artificially create a moment for new beginnings, new resolutions, and new outlooks. But how different is 12-31-17 from 1-1-18 . . . really?!? however, these correspondence were not motivated by this coincidental moment in time, but rather the sincere and conscious effort of one human being to reach out and “touch” (improve, enhance or otherwise positively affect) the life of another person.
On New Year’s Day or any day of the year, I’m encouraged to see that at our core we still: do care for one another, are concerned about our fellow earthlings, and have the room in our lives and in our hearts to make the time to share that feeling.
There is much that is right in the world (and in our lives). And there is much that is wrong in the world (and in our lives). But the choice is ours: to nurture more of that which is right, than to be distracted by that which is wrong.
My sincere thanks to all for their continued support.
