Clean Living

Clean Living

Some smokers do, and yet other smokers never get lung cancer; and what about those stricken who never smoked at all.  There is still much unknown about what "flips on the switch" of cancer in anyone, but how you live can ultimately affect how you will survive.

The rewards of a moderated (and still richly enjoyable) lifestyle pay their dividends if and when treatment becomes a necessity.  When that fateful bell rings and the disease takes over, there is more than medicine that you can bring to the team.  You can at least bring the healthiest surrounding physiology and organs to the fight against this insidious invader.

Now I’m not going all vegan, quinoa and sprouts on you (not that there’s anything wrong with that), but the lifestyles choices we make now can make a difference later – even coming from the guy with cancer (and the pristine lungs, colon, kidneys).  Enjoyment abstinence? – no.  Cardboard cuisine? – no.  Social sacrifice? – no.  Modulated merriment? – why not give it a try, and wake up feeling happy and “refreshed” the next day.

One day you may need the best body you can bring to the battle.  Your Oncologist will thank you and your body will let you know it appreciated it as well.
